LATIN BUSINESS ASSOCIATION JOINS ARIZONA BOYCOTT IN SUPPORT OF THE REPEAL OF ANTI-IMMIGRATION LAW SB1070

April 29, 2010 - LOS ANGELES, CA – The Latin Business Association (LBA) today announced it supports the repeal of Arizona’s anti-immigration law, SB 1070, which will lead to racial profiling discrimination by state police forces.

“The Latin Business Association board and members are deeply disappointed by the misguided efforts of Arizona policy makers to regulate immigration through the draconian legislation SB1070. As business owners, we join the efforts of like-minded organizations to boycott Arizona products and services until a repeal of SB1070 has been implemented. The Latin Business Association invites other Latino business organizations to join us in boycotting Arizona to restore a just and dignified approach to U.S. immigration policy.”
                                                                                     - Ruben Guerra, Chairman of the Latin Business Association

The LBA is one of the country’s most active Latino business organizations on the basis of its membership and overall outreach to Latino business owners. The Latin Business Association was established in 1976 as a private non-profit organization to foster growth and draw awareness to Latino enterprise, as well as provide advocacy and business education to its membership and the community at large.
