EXITOS 93.9FM CELEBRATES ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA MARKET

LOS ANGELES, CA. (April 15, 2010) – EXITOS 93.9FM, Southern California’s newest and fastest-growing Spanish-language radio station, celebrated its one year anniversary this month by thanking its listeners for making it one of the most popular stations in the country’s Number One Hispanic market.

“All of us at EXITOS are extremely pleased at how warmly we have been received by the Southern California Hispanic market,” said Carlos Aguirre, chief executive officer of the station’s parent company, Grupo Radio Centro of Mexico City. “We’ve filled a real need in the market by giving our listeners what they want – long music sets of the hits of the 80’s to today, engaging on-air personalities, and exciting promotions.”

EXITOS 93.9FM went on the air April 15, 2009, as the first U.S. station operated by GRC, Mexico’s leading radio broadcaster. The station is one of the fastest-growing in the market with over ONE Million listeners per week. EXITOS is also very successful among the important 18-49 age demographic.

The station’s music formula is based on playing long streams of uninterrupted hits from the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s by top-name artists like Luis Miguel, Shakira, Alejandro Sanz, Ricky Martin and others.

The station also engages its audience through a series of exclusive concierto privado events featuring top-name artists such as Alejandra Guzman, Christian Castro, Gloria Trevi, Moenia and Magneto that are only available to EXITOS listeners.

Exitos is also deeply rooted to its audience community. During the past year, it has participated in several community events including a free Thanksgiving Dinner with the East LA Boys and Girls Club, a bone marrow drive at Universal City Walk, the Telemundo Health Fair, Haitian relief campaign with NBC/Telemundo, and many others. The station has also co-sponsored a Community Career and Health Fair with the National Polytechnic College and provided scholarships to the school.

The station recently opened a new Prize Store at Plaza Mexico in Lynwood where listeners can pick up tickets and prizes from on-air promotions. EXITOS will also conduct live broadcasts from the venue on weekends and will be sponsoring a major Cinco de Mayo celebration at the site on May 8.

The EXITOS 93.9FM signal reaches the greater six-county Southern California region, home to the country’s largest Latino population with an estimated 6.7 million people.

Grupo Radio Centro was created in 1946 by Francisco Aguirre Jimenez who built 11 stations in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey. Today, GRC owns and/or operates 14 stations in Mexico, with 11 located in Mexico City. The company also transmits programs via satellite to the largest Mexican cities through 108 affiliates. GRC is the only Latin America company in the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE:RC).
